Resize Images to Any Dimension

Quickly resize any image to your exact pixel dimensions. Lock the aspect ratio to prevent distortion, or set custom width and height independently.

Use Cases

Perfect for resizing profile photos, product images, social media posts, thumbnails, and web graphics. All processing happens in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

Common Image Sizes for Social Media

Different platforms require specific image dimensions for optimal display. Instagram posts work best at 1080×1080 pixels (square) or 1080×1350 (portrait). Facebook cover photos should be 820×312 pixels. Twitter header images are 1500×500 pixels. LinkedIn banners require 1128×191 pixels. YouTube thumbnails perform best at 1280×720 pixels. Our resizer makes it easy to hit these exact dimensions.

Aspect Ratio Explained

The aspect ratio is the proportional relationship between an image's width and height. Common ratios include 16:9 (widescreen), 4:3 (traditional), 1:1 (square), and 3:2 (photography standard). When the "Lock ratio" checkbox is enabled, changing the width automatically adjusts the height to maintain the original proportions, preventing your image from looking stretched or squished.

Image Quality After Resizing

Scaling an image down (making it smaller) generally preserves quality well. Scaling up (making it larger) can introduce blurriness because the browser must interpolate new pixels that did not exist in the original. For best results when enlarging, try to stay within 150-200% of the original size.
